Oracle Applications Consulting

HigherTech consultants directed a team that automated the distributor-commission-calculation process for a supplier of prepaid debit cards.  The project utilized Oracle’s Incentive Compensation module.  The time required to calculate, verify and pay commissions was reduced to 2 days, down from twenty and required ½ of personnel previously needed.  This project was nationally recognized for outstanding achievement in the Financial Services Industry. 

Oracle Applications Implementation Project

Laitram is a US based manufacturer in modular plastic conveyor belting, digital magnetic compasses, and industrial-safety-stair products. The client needed to reduce database management costs and increase the management efficiency of their global operations. The solution needed to meet the specific legal and regulatory requirements for the employees in Europe, Asia and Australia.

The answer was Single Global instance with consulting localizations and MLS was utilized to help the client reduce the overall Database Management costs and improve operational efficiencies in managing a Single Global instance.

Oracle 11i Stabilization – Public Sector Client

Our client was experiencing several related problems: multiple database crashes a week, Self-Service HR logins would time out and bring the system to a crawl and planned outage windows would grow from the scheduled two hours to 24 hours because of unexpected behavior.

HigherTech’s consultant provided a Database assessment with problem identification and recommendations. Our team provided a better system configuration which solved the performance issues, reduced TCO, and provided a significantly higher level of satisfaction from end users.

Database Support

Our client had intermittent hands on support needs, but not enough to warrant the hiring of a full time employee.  The system had multiple Oracle database instances and was running Oracle Applications.

Our team was able to solve the 24/7 support issue through our standard offering as well as provide mentoring for the Clients DBA staff. Result was a more stable environment and cost savings for the customer.
